Float Trips & Rentals: Tubing, Canoeing & Kayaking
You can rent boats and tubes and spend the day lounging on the river near Three Otters. Or, you can take a float trip ranging anywhere from 4 to 17 miles. We run trips on both the Potomac and Cacapon Rivers, so let us know what you are looking for and we'll set up an adventure that that is sure to please. If you are new to boating, not to worry, we teach lessons. And, if you would like a guide, we are happy to provide one for an additional fee. Please see our rate chart below.
While we hope to offer float trips in 2021, we will not make any decisions on float trips until May 2021.

River Trips

- $125 for up to three days for groups doing a full property rental
- Paddles and life jackets included

- Kayaks: $20/day; Canoes: $30/day; Tubes: $8/day
River Trips
- Self Guided Tube Float Trip
- 1.25 miles (float down river; walk back along C&O Canal Towpath; 2 hours roundtrip; No additional cost if group rented tubes for the weekend; If no group rental for tubes, then cost is $8/tube
- Four Mile Tube or Kayak Trip
- If you have a group rental, there is a $10/person cost for us to bring kayaks/tubes to put-in spot. In a tube, float can take less than two hours up to four hours depending on level of river. In a Kayak, you can do the trip in an hour or three hours depending on river level and how much exploration you do.
- If your group does not have a group rental, then cost is $20/person for tubes and 30 per person for kayaks
- 11 mile Kayak Trip
- We will shuttle kayakers to boat ramp in Paw Paw, WV for an 11 mile float for $25/person if your group has group rental for kayaks. It takes about 40 minutes to get to put-in and float takes 3-5 hours.
- If your group does not have a group kayak rental, then the cost is $40/person.
- 17 Mile Kayak Trip
- You put in at Three Otters and float to Great Cacapon, WV. Trip takes 5-6 hours. The cost is $40/person if your group has group rental for kayaks. We will pick you up in Great Cacapon.
- If your group does not have a group kayak rental, then the cost is $50/person.
- Five Mile Trip on Cacapon River
- We will shuttle you to the Cacapon River for a five mile kayak trip for $40/person if your group has group rental for kayaks. We will send a staff person on the river with you. It takes about 40 minutes to get to put-in. This float trip has six or seven sections with fun ripples and some shallow areas that require you to navigate some boulder areas.
- If your group does not have a group rental rate, then the cost is $50 per person.
- This is a fun trip for a Sunday on your way home. You can drive to put-in, float, then we drive you back to your car. It is an easy ride from the parking area to Berkeley Springs, Winchester and Cumberland.
