GPS will get you to Berkeley Springs or Paw Paw, but it will not always get you all the way to Three Otters. Once you are near Great Cacapon and Paw Paw, using GPS/MAPQUEST/WAZE, etc. may get you lost. Carefully follow our directions and you will be fine. The Last Few Miles to Three Otters:
· Follow Magnolia Rd for 2.2 miles until the pavement ends just under the railroad bridge. SET YOUR ODOMETER HERE!!!!!!!
· There will be a huge concrete pillar to your left
· The hard top road ends.
*Low Line Road (River Road) is a hard packed gravel road which is an old railroad bed. It has dips and large gravel which makes it a bumpy road. While there is no risk of getting stuck, after a heavy rain some of the dips can fill with water, so skirt to one side or another. While it is nice to have a vehicle with high clearance, we have had all types of vehichles (sports cars, mini vans, Prius, etc) come to Three Otters. Just go slow!

70 West to 522 South toward Berkeley Springs, WV
Turn right at first light in Berkeley Springs, Rt 9 West
Follow Rt 9 West for 7 miles (you go through the town of Great Cacapon. Stop at Doris Deli for any last minute drinks, food).
Turn right on Detour Rd.
Follow Detour Rd for 8 miles until it ends at a T-intersection. This is Magnolia Rd
Turn Right on Magnolia Rd.

Follow your GPS to Winchester to get onto 522 North.
Take 522 North for 14 miles toward Berkeley Springs
Turn Left onto VA 127 West
(This turn can be easy to miss).
Follow VA 127 to Gaston Rd (about 8 miles)
Turn Right on Gaston Rd
Then Turn Right onto WV 29 North
Follow WV 29 North towards Paw Paw (8.7 miles)
Bear slight left and WV 29 becomes WV 9 West
Follow WV 9 west to Magnolia Rd.
Take a Right onto Magnola Rd
Follow Magnolia Rd for 4.5 miles.
At stop sign, continue straight.

From Romney
Take Rt 50 East to 127 East
Follow 127 East to WV 9 North
Follow WV9 North toward Paw Paw (for 9 miles)
Bear slight left and WV 29 becomes WV 9 West
Follow WV 9 west to Magnolia Rd.
Take a Right onto Magnola Rd
Follow Magnolia Rd for 4.5 miles.
At stop sign, continue straight.

From 68 East in Cumberland, Take Exit 43B (MD51/Industrial Blvd)
Turn Right onto MD51 South
Follow MD 51 South about 25 miles to Paw Paw, WV
When you cross the Potomac River you enter Paw Paw and road becomes WV Rt 9
Go two miles and turn Left onto Magnolia Rd (small road at bottom of long hill so look for it carefully)
Follow Magnolia Rd for 4.3 miles. You will come to a stop sign. · Go straight at stop sign. ·

The Last Few Miles to Three Otters:

- There is a dirt road that continues straight and another that bears to the left.
- TAKE THE DIRT ROAD THAT BEARS TO THE LEFT. (DO NOT GO BACK UNDER THE BRIDGE)
- You are now on Low Line Road. This is a rough, bouncy ride so go slow.
- Follow Low Line Road* for about 3.7 miles.
- You will know you are going the right way when you pass under an old abandoned railroad trestle in about a half mile.
- 3.7 Miles on this road will take 15-20 minutes.
- Three Otters will be on your left. There is a wood sign, “Three Otters Eco Retreat.”
- The driveway is the last possible left turn before you come to another retired train bridge. If you come to this bridge, you have gone too far. Just turn around and take your first RIGHT.
